Mexican Tile Renew Project at Upscale Home on the Water in Nokomis Fl Where the Use of Fabuloso Cleaning Products Ruined the Finish on The Tiles. We had to re-stain at least 50% of the Mexican tile floor to get back the original colors, a very bad condition that was just getting worse by using Fabuloso.

PLEASE NOTE: Using Fabuloso floor cleaner on sealed Mexican tile (Saltillo) floors will ruin the finish, strip the protective sealer, and permanently damage the clay. Because Mexican tile is highly porous and relies entirely on its topcoat for protection, using harsh chemical cleaners results in severe material degradation.

Dissolves the Sealer: Fabuloso contains chemical solvents and compounds that quickly break down, soften, and dissolve acrylic, wax, or lacquer-based topcoat sealers. Once the protective barrier is gone, the acidic elements eat into the raw, fragile clay, causing surface pitting, hollow indentations, and crumbling.
