The suggestion for the average homeowner to get down on their hands and knees and scrub the entire 1,300 square foot section of a Mexican tile floor with a degeaser and a green scrub pad is ridiculous. When Mexican tile floors get to the stage where any cleaning is a waste of time due to oil and grease and dirt embedded into the old sealer it is time to have the floors professionally stripped, cleaned and resealed by ‘Mexican tile renew’ Sarasota Fl.

One other flooring expert incorrectly recommend: CLEAN THE GROUT: After you have cleaned your Mexican tile floors with the degreaser, you need to clean the tile grout around the tiles. Take a sponge and soak all of the grout around your tiles with enough water to leave them moist,  (THE DIRTY GROUT IS SEALED THIS WILL NOT WORK) but without leaving large pools of water. Sprinkle baking soda over the wet grout and let this sit for about 30 minutes or so. Mop up the baking soda with a wet mop (THE DIRTY GROUT IS SEALED THIS WILL NOT WORK). 

One other flooring expert incorrectly recommend: “Next mix up a solution of vinegar and water that is 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water in a bowl (NEVER USE VINEGAR TO CLEAN YOUR MEXICAN TILE OR GROUT VINEGAR IS AN ACID AND WILL RUIN THE FLOOR FINISH). Use a brass tipped cleaning brush (THIS WILL SCAR AND MARK THE GROUT) or grout scrub brush available at your home supply center, and scrub the tile with this solution, (DO ALL OF THESE STEPS WHILE DOWN ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES). These recommendations are absolutely ridiculous, the person who wrote this article has never in his/her life ever actually tried to clean a Mexican tile floor.
